I have three awesome kids, Kage, who is 14, Cecillia, who is 12, and Doris, who is 9. I enjoy spending quality time with family, whether around the kitchen table playing cards or outside doing fun activities all around our yard or the neighborhood. We believe that being a close-knit family it brings us closer together through thick and thin. I continuously work to provide them with opportunities that I didn't have growing up.
I was asked why do I mention God in my description of myself. I tell them that without God, I would be nowhere.
At one point in my life, I was lost and turned to God, and he showed me a clear path in life. Religion is a significant part of my life. That is why I have decided to become an Ordained Minister.
No matter who or what you believe in, know that I stand with you. If you need an ear to talk to, I will be there for you.
I am a proud graduate of Marysville High School in Marysville, OH. After graduation, I decided that I would go to college. I started my journey in college by going to The Ohio State University. I did not graduate from OSU due to leaving school to join the Air Force. Before deploying to the Air Force, I found out that a heart condition that I had when I was young disqualified me from fulfilling my dream. I came back home and started back to college, going to Marion Technical College. Shortly after starting back to school, I found out that my then-girlfriend was pregnant with my son. At this point, I left school and found employment at a local manufacturing company. I have not stopped going to school, though. I try to take a class when I can to further my knowledge in many different areas. Through Hillsdale College, I have been able to continue my education, taking courses on my time.
Through-out life, I have held many jobs, just like a lot of other people have. I started out working when I was nine years old, delivering the local newspaper, evening winning newspaper carrier of the year. Since graduating from high school, I had worked building motorcycles at a local manufacturer. I moved on from there to run a local store for an outdoor landscaping supply company in Central Ohio. After leaving this job, as it was a seasonal opportunity, I made my way into the pharmaceutical industry. I worked for a lab in Columbus that produced medications for not only Ohio but the world. I would go on from there to being a security guard for a juvenile detention center for kids in a rehabilitation program. While this job was rewarding, I choose to move on to other employment as my 3rd child was born. I started working for a local manufacturing company moving up the company into my current role as a maintenance technician. I am also part of a leadership team that promotes well being of associates and community activities. My experience has taught me that a person should be well-rounded and open to making changes in your life.
Through the years, I have helped in many community volunteer opportunities, from community clean up days to umpiring youth sports and building a garden that provides fresh produce. I have also been involved in coaching youth sports since I was a sophomore in high school. I continue to coach youth sports to this day with my daughter's soccer team.
I grew up in a small town in Ohio, to a single parent who fought hard each and every day to make sure that we were taken care of. I grew up with learning respect for every person and respect for everything in life. I grew up with knowing who God is and what he stood for. I also grew up knowing when something wasn't right; you stand up and say something.
I also am a firm believer in helping others and making sure others are taken care of before myself. I instill this same lessen into my kids each day.
I also am active in life; I enjoy running (5k, 10k, etc.), camping with my family, being outdoors, and much more. I also have an interest in older cars and other collectibles (vintage items, mostly).
